It’s been the homegrown success story of the last year. Take one beach set on the biggest man-made island known to clubbing man, add in some of the city’s best DJs and set it under a full moon and you have 4,000 people going mental. And according to the head honcho, Charl Chaka, it’s that simple. ‘You have the full moon, the beach and Nasimi, one of the best locations to come out in the region recently. That, thrown together with a solid music policy, entertainers in the form of stilt walkers and fire blowers, and you have a recipe for success. It’s really a no-brainer.’

And the next no-brainer takes place on Friday February 26 and features none other than the porn-moustachioed talents of the Cuban Brothers. An all singing, and all dancing fake-tanned troupe, they’re one of the most entertaining acts in recent years. And thanks to their penchant for thongs and not a great deal else, one of the most revealing.

This event differs slightly from previous Full Moon events in that there’s an international headliner, but Charl is quick to point out that support on the night comes from Dubai’s breaks and drum and bass kingpin Mach 4, with ‘more local action to follow in coming months.’
