Tania von Pear arrived on the dance scene in October 2003 with a set as the sole “Future Heroine” at Tribal Gathering Weekender and being signed to Ministry of Sound Radio.

Describing her sound as “big room house”, Tania is as well known for her music as she is for her energetic performances behind the decks - she can often be found rockin out harder than the crowd while bringing in the next track and cueing up an accapella…!

In the last year, Tania’s career has taken off visiting over twenty countries with festival appearances in Argentina and Romania plus gig highlights include; Crobar in Buenos Aires, Ibiza’s El Divino, Bon Bon in Shanghai, Gifted’s Notting Hill Carnival After-Party, La Messa in Milan and Red Light in Paris.

She holds a residency at The Gallery, a club with a strong history of female residents (Sister Bliss & Lottie), representing the house-room and has moved up to become one of the key tour DJ’s for Ministry of Sound. Her own event, Going Places, holds a bi-monthly residency at London’s The Egg and this year guests have included Tiger Stripes, Robot Needs Oil, Jet Project and Master H.

In the last few months, Tania has taken a job looking after the global events & marketing for acclaimed UK label, Toolroom Records. Working with artists including Mark Knight, D Ramirez, Funkagenda & Dave Spoon, she couldn’t have found a more perfect home and with a string of international label residencies launching next year, expect to see TvP rocking some floors as one of their in-house DJ’s!

On the music front, Tania found success initially with her own imprint – Pear Music – with “Cheza” licensed around the world including the Defected in the House compilation among others and “Hypnotise Me” appearing on the “It’s All Gone Pete Tong” release. In the studio herself with Graeme Lloyd has produced a hot new remake of Grace Jones’ “Slave To The Rhythm” which is finding favour with DJ’s…watch this space!
